The Council Tax Support scheme is designed to help residents who would otherwise struggle to pay their council tax bill.

It will continue to offer the most financially vulnerable residents a maximum of 100% support, which means they pay no council tax at all. Others can earn more before it affects the support they receive.

Local news for Friday 27th February

Petersfield's Town Mayor, Councillor Chris Paige, talks to Shine Radio about the highlights of his work over the last month.

As always Chris has been very busy and he talks to Mike Waddington about supporting local voluntary organisations, the five capital projects completed, the new deputy Town Clerk, and his Awards to be announced at the Town Meeting on 2 March.

He also talks about preparing for LGR - local Government reorganisation - and what it may mean as Hampshire County Council's functions are redstributed. A Government announcement is imminent.

He tells us of his Quiz to raise funds for his chosen charities - the Scouts and Winton House - and a new plan for May the Fourth be with you .....
